Candle care

Before lighting, trim the wick by approximately 3 mm to prevent smoking. If smoking occurs, gently extinguish the candle, allow the wax to cool, and remove the burnt ends of the wick. Never move the candle while the wax is melted.

The candle should burn for a maximum of 3–5 hours at a time. Total burn time is approximately 70 hours and depends on various factors such as room temperature, humidity, drafts, and the length of the trimmed wick.

When around 6 mm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar, do not relight the candle, as this may cause the container to crack.

Never leave a burning candle unattended, in a draft, or in direct sunlight (which may cause colour changes). Due to the natural ingredients, the wax surface may develop a frosted appearance when exposed to certain light and temperature conditions.

Amoln uses high-quality mineral and plant-based waxes locally sourced in southern Sweden, along with eco-friendly wicks. Their twelve-step production process takes two weeks per candle. Each candle is poured into a hand-painted vessel—further highlighting how truly unique these candles are.
