Champagne Guy Charbaut
Charbaut was founded in 1936 by wine merchant André Charbaut. He bought his first parcel of land in the village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, later buying more in exceptional wine-growing localities, which later produced champagne wines of the highest quality. The estate pressed grapes for the biggest names in Champagne. All called on the expertise of the Charbaut family.
In the 1950s, André was joined by his two sons. After André died, the younger Guy decided to continue the winemaking and professional work that his father had passed on to him.
In 2010, Guy's son Xavier and his wife took over the family business. They now continue to carefully develop their wines according to expertise that is now almost a century old.
Nathalie and Xavier Charbaut are totally committed to their estate, to preserving the brand's reputation and to the history of the Guy Charbaut brand. They are always looking for new ideas, progress and improvement.
