CHAMPAGNE Lanson
The Champagne house of Lanson is one of the oldest in France with a history that dates back to 1760. It ranks among the wineries that were founded before the French Revolution and have survived to this day.
Lanson supplies its champagne wines to three royal courts - the Spanish, English and Swedish. As the son of the company's founder Nicolas - Louis Delamotte was a Knight of Malta, the Maltese Cross became the company's emblem in 1798. In 1828, Jean - Baptiste Lanson joined the company and brought the name Lanson.
The Lanson champagne house was one of the first to export champagne, especially to the then Tsarist Russia and England. It succeeded in these markets and gained recognition for its high quality and pure, characteristic taste. Thanks to its quality, which the brand has retained to this day, England and Russia remain its main customers. Lanson is thus one of the companies that mainly exports its products abroad.
